Style Files | Isabella Mamas

Our journal series, Style Files, takes a look into the wardrobes, shoe collections and creative minds of women within our tribe.

We recently spoke with Sydney based fashion assistant and stylist Isabella Mamas who talks us through her personal style and why she's loving the Margot Mules right now.

Please tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do...

My name is Isabella Mamas and I am a Fashion Assistant and stylist based in Sydney.

How would you best describe your personal style?

My style is quite eclectic, I love a standout piece, anything colourful or textured that can be worked into a capsule wardrobe.

What is your earliest shoe memory?

When I was five years old my sister wore a pair of satin red platforms to her Year 12 formal, I was obsessed with them. I stole them once she was done with them and used to clomp around the house trying to teach myself how to walk in heels - I am still learning!

Whose shoes would you like to step into and why?

I think without a doubt Sarah-Jessica Parker, iconically known for shoes both on the screen and in her day to day life. I think watching Sex and the City is where my true love for shoes really flourished.

I think growing up I didn't quite understand accessories, I loved dresses and jackets but as I have found my own style I truly believe every good outfit starts with an amazing pair of shoes.

Talk us through your footwear collection, what do your shoes say about you?

My footwear collection is nearing 50 pairs of shoes at this point. I can't seem to get rid of any because they all hold such important parts to my style. It's an eclectic mix of kitten heels, sneakers, ballet flats, slides, and a few really good statement clogs. I think its hard to pin down what each say about me because they represent all the different styles I have day to day.

What are your favourite pair of La Tribes right now and how are you wearing them?

I absolutely love the Margot Mule, they have been perfect for the warmer weather to slip on and run to the beach, as well as with a pair of jeans in the office when running errands. I love how versatile they are and are so incredibly comfortable.
