Handcrafted in Portugal from GOTS certified canvas, our limited edition espadrilles are set on a woven wedge heel with woven jute braided edging, flattering rounded toe, and secured with soft ties that wrap around your ankle, embodying the essence of summer.
Specialising in traditional techniques, our factory in Portugal pride themselves on care and precision. The tactile nature of making an espadrille means it is largely assembled by hand.
The special characteristic of an espadrille is its unique coiled sole. The natural jute fiber gives the sole its characteristic flexibility and comfort.
The first ever espadrille was recored in 1332. This is a testament to the design as it has continued to be functional and relevant throughout the centuries.
Yves Saint Laurent first created an espadrille wedge in the 1970's which gave the espadrille a fashion silhouette and elevated it from its humble beginnings as a flat style. Espadrille designs have continued to show on the catwalk of many luxury fashion brands every Spring/Summer cementing it as an iconic fashion item.
Our Low Wedge Espadrille design offers a flattering every-day option. Its height being versatile for all occasions whether it be a Summer holiday, adding a European silhouette to workwear outfitting or casual weekend brunching - it really does cover all the bases and perhaps that is the reason the design continues to survive the test of time.
