Our journal series, Style Files, takes a look into the wardrobes, shoe collections and creative minds of women within our tribe.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?
I live in Mount Maunganui and work for womenswear label Marle, which I absolutely adore. Outside of that, I love spending time with my beautiful friends and family, we are so lucky to call the Mount home and enjoy making the most of our town and all that it has to offer.

How would you best describe your personal style and as a mama-to-be, has this changed during pregnancy?
My style is fairly pared back - a lot of wide leg pants, oversized shirts and relaxed knitwear. I love simple silhouettes with an element of interest - embroidery or crochet detailing, a stripe or textured cloth.
I don’t think it has changed too much during my pregnancy and for the most part have really loved dressing my bump. I’ve found myself reaching for elasticated or drawstring waistbands, bias cut silhouettes, fitted cotton singlets and shirting.

What is your earliest bag memory?
I have grown up with women who love fashion and design so accessories and a love for bags has inherently become a part of me. From very early on I remember carrying my step-mother’s work bag around (along with her heels) and pretending I was off to my job in an office.
Tell us about your bag collection—what do your bags say about you?
I love bags and the ability they have to add interest or refresh an outfit. I have a particular penchant for small or mini bags - and my husband would definitely say I have too many, but each one has a special place in my collection and I look forward to passing these onto my daughter one day.
You recently purchased the Everyday Bag - how are you styling it?
I absolutely adore my new Everyday Bag, the perfect size and everyday companion. I love the simple silhouette and the rich chocolate suede is so luxurious, elevating any outfit. I’ve loved pairing it back with my new autumn coats and knitwear.
